VC148 Standards Without Borders: IVS, USPAP, AICPA and the Global Valuation Landscape
- Registration Closed
More About This Event
A practical, high-level panel discussion of how valuation standard frameworks align - across IVS, USPAP, AICPA and International - and where they don’t.
In a valuation landscape shaped by increasingly global businesses, cross-border transactions, and rising regulatory complexity, the question of how standards align—or fail to—has never been more relevant. This high-level panel brings together leading voices from the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC), The Appraisal Foundation (USPAP), Business Valuation Institute UK (BVIUK) and the AICPA framework to explore the common ground, critical distinctions, and practical implications of working across these standards.
We will discuss:
- How each framework is evolving to meet modern demands
- Where principles diverge in practice (e.g., scope of work, disclosure, valuation review)
- How global firms and professionals navigate multiple standards simultaneously
- Efforts toward convergence, harmonization, and recognition between frameworks
- The real-world challenges for practitioners serving international clients
Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of how to apply professional judgment when navigating different standards, and what to expect from future guidance and regulatory trends.
