Webinar Course Description

Join the International Virtual Chapter for an informative and interesting presentation. The chapter officers will share recent ASA updates, and the webinar presentation will follow.

Roger Grabowski, FASA and Ashok Abbott, Ph.D., will discuss the constant growth model (the Gordon Growth model). They will introduce the idea of combining discounting and capitalising under a three stage model. In addition, Roger and Ashok will look specifically at long run growth rates including issues affecting estimation and assumptions for calculation and present the latest research to support their assertions.

Roger Grabowski, FASA

Roger J. Grabowski is a managing director at Kroll in the Valuation Advisory Services practice, based in Chicago. Roger leverages nearly 50 years of valuation and advisory experience in a broad range of sectors, which include railroads and retail, education, sports, movie libraries and manufacturing businesses.

Ashok Abbott, Ph.D. 

Dr. Abbott's areas of research and teaching include mergers and acquisitions, corporate valuation, and measures of market liquidity.  His consulting areas are valuation discounts and premiums, valuation model validation, passive appreciation, and event studies.
