Course Description
This course offers an in-depth exploration of the new dynamic Uniform Residential Appraisal Report (URAR) applicable to all residential property types. Students will learn the requirements of the new URAR, which is designed to support more thorough appraisal analysis and reporting, ensuring they are well-equipped to adopt and implement these advancements in their professional practice. By the end of this course, students will gain a deep understanding of the dynamic URAR and expectations for completing the report.
Course Objectives
- Explore the dynamic appraisal reports (URAR, Appraisal Update Report, and Completion Report) and the transition to eliminate property type-specific forms
- Become familiar with the new reporting features of the appraisal reports
- Learn the basics of the new Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD)
- Examine expanded data requirements
- Understand your responsibilities in the new appraisal reporting process

Accessing eMaterials
eMaterials are provided electronically in PDF format and posted to the class within the education dashboard for all registrants to securely access prior to the start of class. Attendees should come to the class prepared with an electronic or printed copy of all eMaterials to use as a refence during class. David Doering is a State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser with over 40 years of experience in the appraisal profession. He holds the ASA – RP - Senior Accredited Appraiser – Real Property/Residential the IFA - Residential Appraiser Specialist designations of the American Society of Appraiser (ASA), was awarded DAR – Designated Appraiser – Residential with the Canadian National Association of Appraisers, is a Senior Instructor with the ASA and is AQB Certified USPAP Instructor. He currently serves as President of Missouri Property Appraisal, Inc. In addition to taking specialized appraisal courses over the years, he holds a BA in Economics from the University of Missouri.
He is a Past National President of the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers and currently serves as a member of the ASA – NAIFA Real Property Committee and is Vice-Chair of the Real Property Education Committee and Chair of the ASA Real Property Marketing Committee. He is a past member of the International Board of Governors of the American Society of Appraisers, and a past member of the Board of Trustees of the Appraisal Foundation. In addition, Doering is the President of the Missouri Appraisers Advisory Coalition which is the state appraiser advocacy coalition and is a Past Chair of the Missouri Realtors© Appraisal Section.

Shane Weber is a State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser with 21 years of experience in the appraisal profession. He holds the ASA – Senior Accredited Appraiser and the IFA - Residential Appraiser Specialist designations of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA).
Shane is often a guest lecturer on real estate appraisal principles for various events sponsored by his local board of REALTORS.
Shane holds an FAA Remote Pilot License and embraces new technologies available to the appraisal profession.
