Advancing your career is about more than just attending a conference. ASA has partnered with Wichita Property Tax Association in providing education towards a new exciting opportunity to earn the ASA Property Tax Certificate of Completion. 

In order to receive the ASA Property Tax Program Certificate, you are required to complete the 

  1. Principles Course
  2. Principles Course Exam
  3. Future ASA ME219 Complex Property Tax Course 

WPTC Principles Course Exam Registration

Those who have attended the Wichita Property Tax Conference Principles Course have the next 90 days to complete the online proctored exam. 

Once you have registered for the WPTC Principles Course Exam, you will still need to schedule your proctored exam session. Please take a moment to review next steps.  

Next Steps

After registering for this exam:

1) Schedule your proctored exam session via TWO options:  

  • OPTION ONE ASA’s Monthly Open Online Examination Sessions
  • OPTION TWO ASA's Remote Virtual ProctorU
    • ASA has partnered with a third-party proctoring service, ProctorU, to allow students more flexibility and convenience in terms of scheduling exam sessions. Sign up for ASA's Virtual ProctorU session here. You will be prompted to create a log in and select a convenient date and timeslot. Once signed up, specific instructions are provided.  

2) Register for ASA’s ME219 – Complex Property Tax Course and pass the associated exam. Upcoming offerings will be listed here once the course launches later in 2025. 

3) Upon completion of the WPTC Principles Course, the WPTC Principles Course Exam, and the future ME219 Complex Property Tax Course, you will receive access to download your Program Certificate of Completion from ASA’s website.

Additional Details

Students have two hours to complete the 40-question exam. This exam is multiple choice, closed book and must be proctored. Review the exam proctoring options under the Exam Information tab. 

A score of 75% or higher is considered a passing score. Grades are provided to students as “Pass/Fail” only and course examinations are not returned to students after grading. 

Exam Certificate 

Upon successfully passing the exam, students receive online access to the exam completion certificate.

In the event a student does not pass the exam, please allow 5-7 days for ASA headquarters to formally process your exam and course status. An ASA Education Team member will contact you directly with further guidance and retake options.
