ME188 - There's Cash in that Trash. The Appraisers' Role in Creating the Circular Economy

  • Registration Closed

Wednesday, May 29, 2024

1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Eastern

Description

The appraiser will be challenged to consider on a high level how their work contributes to the future of humankind and sustainability. Timely information about supply chain, and circularity is covered, and then tied into how the very act of forming an opinion of value can often lay the foundation for mutually beneficial business-to-business relationships which prevent tons of waste from going into landfills. This concludes with a call to action. The appraisers, especially the experienced MTS appraiser have gained vast knowledge of the existing network of businesses which use, and/or recycle a wide range of commodities. I am compiling that knowledge into a database to be used as a resource for managers of industrial inventories, as well as for tax funded agencies such as the EPA, and inviting people to take part in the project. There is a 2 person panel discussion, and approx. 20 min. allowed for attendee discussion.

Course Audience

Appraisers interested in doing the practical work of building a profit driven circular economy. This is particularly applicable for MTS appraisers
