Description
This webinar is intended to be a primer for Marine Surveyors and other maritime professionals who are involved with developing, or utilizing, appraisal values on marine assets.
We will go into the three methods of appraisal values (sales comparison, cost and income) and how they may apply to different types of vessels. This will include a discussion of using marine "blue books" and what method they fall under.
We will go into USPAP and those items necessary to include in development of an appraisal and a report based upon parts 7 & 8 of the current USPAP.
The discussion will include commonly seen "red flags" when doing an appraisal review on another appraisal report.
We will include redacted report examples of compliant, and non-compliant reports.
We will discuss what non-appraisal professionals (adjusters, underwriters and attorneys) should look for in a survey and/or appraisal report.
We will discuss how to make a current survey appraisal (commonly referred to as a Condition and Valuation Survey) a USPAP compliant appraisal report.
We will cover appraisal certifications.
