Description
This webinar will outline the basics of appraising metal stamping presses. There will be a brief mention of the types of industries that utilize metal stamping presses. Press manufactures will be identified. The types of metal stamping presses and the difference between mechanical and hydraulic presses will be discussed. The presenter will help the participants differentiate between the various press connections, construction and drive systems. Finally a value for the various presses presented in the slides will be discussed.

Universal Press & Machinery (UPM) was established by Danny and James Patrona and has been located in Ferndale, Michigan since 1988. Danny and James have retired and Tristan is the co-owner of UPM, LLC along with his brother Phillip. UPM's primary business is buying and selling used metal stamping and fabricating equipment, coil handling equipment and roll forming equipment. UPM also handles consignment machines and complete plant liquidations and auctions. UPM has been a member of the Machinery Dealers National Association (MDNA) since 1994 and Tristan is a Certified Equipment Appraiser and has been a member of the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA) since 2015.
