Description
The webinar provides and introduction to the capabilities of the HP 12C and Excel spreadsheet for performing financial calculations. It will examine the functionality of the HP 12C financial calculator and Excel spreadsheet for solving financial problems. Multiple examples will be presented for solving present value and future value problems along with the present value and future value of an annuity. The preprogrammed functionality of the HP 12C and Excel spreadsheet will be discussed to illustrate how common financial problems can more easily be solved. The solution of a leasing problem will also be presented.

MTS Appraisers looking to increase their knowledge concerning use of the HP 12C financial calculator and Excel spreadsheet to solve financial problems.

Rick Ellsworth is MTS Education Chairman and currently an instructor for the Principles of Valuation course, ME 204. Rick is designated as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in the Business Valuation, Machinery & Technical Specialties, and Appraisal Review & Management disciplines of ASA. He also holds the Society's specialty designation in Intangible Asset valuation. In addition, Rick is also a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Cost Professional (CCP). He has Masters in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degrees from Lehigh University.
