Intro to solar technology including origins and how it works. Development of Renewable Energy, focusing on solar over the last 10 years. Different types of solar energy generation. Current and projected growth of solar energy. Considering all three approaches to developing a value opinion for a solar installation, focus on the Income Approach.

Rick Daubenspeck, ASA | Managing Director | BDO USA, LLP

Rick Daubenspeck has been providing valuation support for more than 25 years which includes a wide variety of industries and equipment types on a global basis. Rick is currently a Managing Director at BDO USA, LLP leading the Tangible Asset Valuation Practices, and for the last 12 years he has been involved in valuing approximately 400 solar installations throughout the United States. Rick and his Group provide valuation support for developers, equity participants, as well as transaction lessors. Rick has previously published a number of articles on the valuation of solar installations, and has spoken at the ELFA Equipment Management Conference and Solar Finance International on the subject. Rick has an MBA in International Business, and as has been a Senior ASA for over 20 years. He is also a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
