Course Description
Focused on managing a variety of multifaceted appraisal assignments, AR203 applies methodology for coordinating, supervising, and directing a group of professionals. Complex assignments require lead professionals for planning, oversight, various directives, multiple perspectives, and considerations.

- Certifications
- Case studies for organizing professionals in multiple appraisal disciplines and multiple specialties within a discipline.
This course demonstrates common practices and standards of care when managing a team of appraisers, appraisal reviewers, or a combination of professionals in assignments of various capacities. Participants will conclude the class with the information and tools necessary for understanding the proper and professional coordination of a team on assignments that include multifaceted components.

Guest speakers from different disciplines and professions enhance the course lecture and presentation in a unique manner, within a dialogic education platform.

Requirements
Students must bring a laptop to class and two (2) redacted reports for review are necessary for the course activities.

Class Format - Virtual
ASA is offering the opportunity for students to attend this class live via the internet as a remote participant. Virtual students share the same educational experience as the students in the classroom and can participate live just as if they were attending physically. Also, be sure to review the Hybrid FAQ's before registering.
*The final exam will be administered and proctored the day after the last class on Wednesday, March 29. Exams are no longer provided in a written format and students MUST have a personal laptop or computer device to complete the secure online exam. For any exam questions or technical/logistic concerns, contact education@appraisers.org. More detailed information will be provided before class concludes.
Please note: Partial credit will not be awarded for this offering. Students must participate in all the live session(s) virtually or in-person to complete the course and receive full credit following successful completion of the final exam. The virtual session(s) will not be recorded and/or made available after class.

AR202 is the second Principle of Valuation (POV) course in the four (4) course POV series. AR201 must be successfully completed prior to registering for this course. After successfully completing the AR201 course, AR202- AR204 may be taken in any order.
Current ASA credential holders who wish to additionally accredit with another ASA in Appraisal Review & Management:

All downloadable class materials are accessible via your class Handouts tab. Once eMaterials have been posted for download, the class is no longer refundable.
Accessing eMaterials
eMaterials are provided electronically in PDF format and posted to the class within class Handouts tab for all registrants to securely access prior to the start of the class. Attendees should come to class prepared with an electronic or printed copy of all eMaterials to use as a reference. OnDemand course registrants receive access to materials immediately following registration.
PDF course materials are presented in color, are bookmarked, and comment enabled. When opting to print downloaded materials, it is recommended that personal print settings be adjusted to print in black and white (or grayscale) and consider printing double-sided on recycled paper.
Certificate of Completion

Melanie Modica, ASA, ARM
Melanie is the owner of Modica Fine Art LLC, in Houston, Texas. She is an art appraiser and has specialized experience as an appraisal reviewer for personal property, and as an appraisal manager. She offers art appraisals and personal property appraisal reviews, and offers litigation support as a consultant and an expert witness. Ms. Modica first joined ASA in 2010 and currently holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser designation. She is an instructor for ASA’s AR204 Application and Report Writing class and assisted in the creation of the new FourARM program by developing the new AR203 Managing Multifaceted Assignments POV class. Melanie is an active volunteer with numerous leadership positions including most notably serving as current ARM Committee Vice Chair, and President of the Houston Chapter, as well as having served as a past chapter President, and was the creator of the ARM eJournal.
