MTS Principles of Valuation (POV) Legacy Courses

What's happening?  

ASA's MTS Principles of Valuation (POV) courses (ME201 - ME204) are undergoing a major revamp and new courses will be launching in the fall of 2024. To ensure a smooth transition, the four legacy MTS POV courses (current version of the MTS POV courses being offered now) will sunset at the end of the current fiscal year (June 30, 2024). If you're currently working through these courses, we encourage you to complete the four-course series before the 2024 sunset date. When will the new courses be available? 

The updated/revised version of the MTS POV courses are slated to debut later this year. Check the MTS Upcoming Class list for scheduling updates. 

How will ASA help you complete the LEGACY POV course series you started? 

For students who began the LEGACY POV course series, you need to complete the LEGACY course series and we are here to make that process as easy and as seamless as possible. As an added incentive to complete the LEGACY courses, there is a promo code for 15% off your registration. If you have not received this discount code, please contact education@appraisers.org for the discount registration code. There are several class completion options available to you:

For those who prefer live classes, the following offerings are coming up: 
Self-Paced Options 
For those who prefer self-paced offerings, we have two formats – one is an audio only version and the other is a recorded virtual format. These are available on our website for purchase (see OnDemand section).  
How old are the current Audio and OnDemand virtual course options? 

These LEGACY offerings were recorded in 2023 and cover viable and updated content.

Is there a deadline to complete the LEGACY POV courses? 

We strongly encourage you to complete the course series by June 30 to avoid any confusion with the debut of the new course content.  We understand this timeline may prove challenging; therefore, the 2023 Audio and OnDemand versions of the LEGACY courses will remain available to you so you may complete the course series at your own pace. We are also available to discuss your individual situation.
